Highlighted collections

• Museum added an articulated skeletal structure of male wild elephant-Shankar
• Hornet’s nest with its life cycle and display of different insects with special reference to butterflies was added to the museum
• Different rocks, fossils, and world’s largest egg of extinct Elephant bird donated by Shri Abasar Beuria, Former Ambassador of India and rare collections of Snake, lizards, turtles and frogs of India donated by Prof. S.K.Dutta, North Orissa University were added
• Unique collection of 47.3 ft. baleen whale skeleton was added in 2010
• Unique collection of ………. ft. sperm whale skeleton was added in 2014
• Unique 100% eco-friendly, low budget and ultra-low maintenance, biodegradable models of Giraffe, king cobra, stingray, komodo dragon made of composite material are highlighted visitor attractions. Selected models are also made available for touch and feel experience.
